The Scope Plane
Features and Page Content
As part of following the Garrett 5 Layer Design strategy, it is primitive to know what content, features and functions would be included in the site before the beginning of abstract and visual design.
Easy navigational menus which are enticing and directional to the user are most important within the first stages of website design.
Chosen Website Template
Below demonstrates several digital wireframes I have created as a template to refer to when designing Tim Loftus’s website.
- Clean looking design
- Easy Navigation
- Captivating Images
- Simple yet Useful Menus
- Informative information lacking in excess
- Consistency throughout the entirety of the sit
Wireframes: Go Mockingbird
I used www.gomockingbird.com to create each digital wireframe. Go Mockingbird is a drag and drop program, allowing you to create any PDF document or template. Go Mockingbird allows you to use many features such as:
- Text Area/Text Box
- Button/Text Dropdown Button
- Drop Down Menu and Navigation Bar
- Search Box
- Close Icon
Following the hand drawn plan of the websites structure, I have created digital wireframes of each website page.
In reference to the Structure Plane of the Garrett 5 Layer Design template, I have created these wireframes to define the placement of each element and feature consisting of the following:
- Name of site and logo
- Navigation menus and submenus
- Sidebar menu
- Footer menu
- Search bar
- Headings and subheadings
- Text areas
